Our Guidelines

Mandela Produce Distribution is a reflection of our diverse community of cultures, ages, and beliefs. We’ve spent a lot of time thinking about the different points of view that create a safe and open environment for everyone.
We created the Community Guidelines so you can help us foster and protect this amazing community. By engaging with our program(s), you agree to these guidelines and our Terms of Use. (terms and conditions page) We’re committed to these guidelines and we hope you are too. Overstepping these boundaries may result in WHAT HAPPENS IF SOMEONE BREAKS GUIDELINES?? or other restrictions.

Return Policy

Mandala Produce Distribution has a “no-return” policy, which means we do not accept returns on fruits and vegetables. However, we will refund 100% of your purchase if you are unhappy with your order.

If you would like a refund, email us at orders@mandeladistribution.com or call (510) 433-0993. Please include a reason why you would like a refund. If possible, include a picture. Your repayment will be processed on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund. We do not issue refunds on gift cards.


COVID-19 Updates & Protections

Include process and info about COVID safety to provide transparency of the process. Mention no contact delivery and other elements about how this is a safe purchase! 


Foster Meaningful & Genuine Interactions

In order to keep you fully informed and aware of your produce box orders, we will contact you via email and text messages. Our direct communications are sent through MailChimp email newsletters and SimpleTexting SMS outreach. We will only be sending you information about CSA box contents, food hub updates, recipes, and local industry news. You can expect to receive 1–2 direct messages per week from us.   
 
Please note you do not have to agree to receive messages from us as a condition to participate or purchase from our program. Msg&Data rates may apply.

Using CalFresh & EBT for Programs

Want to pay with EBT? Contact us at csa@mandelapartners.org or fill out this form. We are working diligently to get EBT processing on our website. Hang tight!


Be Respectful

We want to foster a positive, diverse community. It’s never OK to encourage violence or attack anyone based on their race, ethnicity, national origin, sex, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, religious affiliation, disabilities, or diseases. Can be a space to set boundaries for supporting our delivery crew or however you would like folks to show up to be respectful.
